Exercise on compound compound verbs
 
        Decide whether the verb sequence in  रख दे-  or  छोड़ दे- represents only one action or two.  If only one,  provide an equivalent in  दे-  or  डाल-  and translate into English.  If two,  provide an equivalent which has two full clauses conjoined. Models:
A.  उसने कई चिड़ियाँ फँसाकर छोड़ दीं।   =>
        A. Two actions:  उसने कई चिड़ियाँ फँसाईं औरर  ( फिर )  छोड़ दीं।
B.  मैं तुम्हारी बजाकर रख दूँगा।   =>
        B. One action:   मैं तुम्हारी बजा दूँगा।   or   बजा डालूँगा।
        'I'll knock your block off.'   'I'll clean your clock.'
 
 1.  थोड़ा-सा भूसा निकालकर रख दो।
 2.  लालच ने उसे उल्लू बनाकर छोड़ दिया।
 3.  लोग तुम्हें पुलिसवाला समझकर छोड़ देंगे।
 4.  यह बात पुलिसवाले तुम्हें समझाकर रख देंगे।
 5.  सद्दाम अपने मुल्क का सत्यानाश करके छोड़ देगा।
 6.  उसने अपने पति को शराबी बनाकर छोड़ दिया था।
